This course is a new format for a 1-day workshop with Curtis. We will take a tour of all the infrastructure such as greenhouses, post-harvest station and walk-in cooler, as well as demonstrate all the important tools for running an efficient and profitable small farm. The course will take place at Roebuck farm in New Plymouth, New Zealand. This will be Curtis’ third time returning to Roebuck farm and he has overseen and had a direct hand in establishing the farm to model his, Green City Acres. In this course you will get a first hand look at what Curtis’ farm might look like if it was in New Zealand. This course will be hosted entirely outside, so please dress for hot weather with a chance of rain.
People wanting to take this course should at least have a moderate understanding of some of the concepts written about in The Urban Farmer.
