This is the mother of all Curtis’ courses. Four days on an active production farm. Hosted at Pakaraka Permaculture in Thames, New Zealand; a quarter acre market farm that is very similar in size and scope to Curtis’ farm, Green City Acres. You will see how the work week is structured, real time harvesting, field planting, bed rotating, post-harvest, packing, as well as nursery work with planting and harvesting of microgreens. This course combines the practical class room teaching, with direct in the field and hands on training with plenty of opportunities to students to get their hands dirty. Lunch will be provided each day and we will have on-site camping available. Everyone who signs up for this course, will be given a digital copy of Curtis’ 1-day workshop; Profitable Urban Farming. A $199 value!
Tickets are limited for this one, so sign up fast!
This course is considered advanced level. You should be very familiar with the concepts written about in The Urban Farmer or have a functional understanding of commercial market farming.
