Description
For many years, we have struggled with the standard 1020 1″ germination flats. They break easy, they warp and they’re hard to find. These flats are originally used for The Paper Pot transplanter but they work very well for microgreens. They’re a little bit bigger than 1020’s, (24 1/16″ x 12″ x 1 3/8″) and they are incredibly strong. They are actually hard to break. Since I’ve discovered these, we’re slowly working our way through hundreds of 1020’s and slowly but surely replacing them with these.
Nursery flats hold the paper chain pots during seeding and germination. The flats give structure to the paper chain pots while providing drainage via bottom holes. These flats are a REQUIRED component of the paper pot system.
The flats can also be dual purposed used as microgreen flats. This may be a better long term solution for someone who is going through a lot of thinner walled germination flats.
