Description
It was very hard on my back. The fact that it took so long made it that we had to harvest even in bad weather. No, we can do that 10 hours of work in around 45 minutes or less now. The tool also has saved us from pesky index finger cuts, which anyone who harvests greens by hand, knows all about.
If you buy a harvester, make sure to buy a parts kit and a few replacement blades as well. If you’re cutting a few hundred pounds a week, you’ll need to change the blade at least every three weeks. You can get an electric sharpener that makes quick work of sharpening. I keep enough blades around so that I only need to stop and sharpen them once during the season. I’d prefer to do that kind of work over the winter when there is less to do. You can buy that sharpener here.
